Unlink is bringing native privacy to Monad
Unlink is enabling privacy on Monad so institutions, businesses, and teams can hold, move, and use decentralized finance without exposing balances, counterparties, or positions.

Introduction
“Public blockchains are open by default, which makes settlement verifiable but leaves an institution’s balances, counterparties, and transactions exposed. A fund rebalancing a portfolio or a company running payroll cannot operate on infrastructure that publishes what is meant to stay confidential. Unlink brings that privacy to Monad which uniquely enables it to function without performance limitations that have held back institutional adoption.”
— Raj Parekh, Global Head of Payments & Stablecoins, Monad Foundation
“Privacy has always come at the cost of speed. Most systems slow to a crawl under the weight of the cryptography, which rules out the volume payments and trading need to run at. Monad’s throughput lets privacy run at production speed, so payroll, treasury, and trading can stay private without giving anything up in performance.” — Maggie Chen, COO, Unlink
Onchain finance is public by default. An organization’s balances, counterparties, and the size and timing of its transactions are exposed to anyone watching. For any operator moving meaningful volume, broadcasting that activity to competitors and counterparties is reason enough to stay off these rails.
Unlink removes that exposure. It deploys as a smart contract directly on Monad, holds balances as encrypted notes, and moves value between private accounts through zero-knowledge proofs, so the contract settles each operation without revealing the sender, the recipient, or the amount.
Companies can move capital privately, and any teams building on Monad can offer the same to their users through a single SDK.
Why This Matters
Institutions and builders on Monad have a high standard for the privacy solution utilized in their day to day operations onchain. Two things mattered most:
-
Speed. Unlink is a smart contract, so transactions clear quickly without the lag that typically weighs down privacy infrastructure. This keeps private activity moving at the pace Monad is built for, fast enough for the payment and trading volume the chain is designed to handle.
-
Composability. Monad’s value is the liquidity and protocols already running on it, so a privacy solution that walls capital off on a separate chain would defeat the point. Unlink deploys on Monad directly to keep access intact, so a private balance can still reach Aave, Morpho, Euler, Uniswap, and the rest of the $350M in TVL, tokenized assets, and fiat ramps already live on the chain.
What’s Ahead
With Unlink, Monad will have privacy built in at the infrastructure level. Supply capital to a lending market, allocate across vaults, and rebalance without revealing the strategy behind it. Handle payroll, vendor payouts, and settle payments without exposing amounts or counterparties.
Unlink is live on Monad testnet today, with mainnet coming soon.
